APUNTAR AL ENEMIGO (CUERPO POLICIAL) 2024​​

Policía en formación apuntado con linterna táctica policial sobre la nuca y dentro de la boca. La obra plantea una inversión de posición para ilustrar que parte fundamental de las labores policiales principales son registrar, vigilar, amedrentar, detener, someter, castigar y señalar. En la pieza se apunta con la luz en estos lugares del cuerpo por la vulnerabilidad que representan, además de establecer una relación directa entre pensamiento y palabra.

La policía es un cuerpo/herramienta represiva del Estado para el mantenimiento del orden de las clases dominantes y para la preservación de su estructura, que ocupa la represión como método de operación.

​AIMING AT THE ENEMY (POLICE BODY) 2025

 

​A police officer in formation is targeted with a tactical police flashlight directed at the back of the neck and inside the mouth. The work proposes an inversion of positions to illustrate that a fundamental part of core police duties consists of searching, surveilling, intimidating, detaining, subduing, punishing, and identifying. In the piece, the light is aimed at these parts of the body due to the vulnerability they represent, while also establishing a direct relationship between thought and speech.

The police are a repressive body/tool of the State for maintaining the order of the ruling classes and preserving its structure, using repression as a method of operation.
