FORMA POLÍTICA (ESCULTURA CÚBICA QUE EN SU INTERIOR CONTIENE 500 METROS DE ALAMBRE DE PÚAS) 2025

Forma política busca poner en tensión el entendimiento de la idea del arte y sus espacios como práctica y escenarios de decoración, encubrimiento, simulacro, higienización y neutralidad. La obra subvierte la escultura modelo del minimalismo para cuestionar la ejecución del hacer artístico a nivel ideológico y su “función” o “razón” en el contexto contemporáneo. Así, se manifiesta y subraya la politicidad de las formas y materialidades, problematizando sus diferentes usos, connotaciones y determinaciones empíricas dentro de un marco de dominación económico y social estructurado por el poder y su violencia.

Political Form seeks to place under tension the understanding of the idea of art and its spaces as a practice and as settings of decoration, concealment, simulation, sanitization, and neutrality. The work subverts the model sculpture of minimalism in order to question the execution of artistic making at an ideological level and its “function” or “purpose” in the contemporary context. Thus, it manifests and underscores the political nature of forms and materialities, problematizing their different uses, connotations, and empirical determinations within a framework of economic and social domination structured by power and its violence.
