EL AGUA DE LAS CASCADAS SUBE (2024)​​

Acción de verter agua del océano pacífico frente al rostro en dirección a la boca. Este gesto dialoga directamente con métodos utilizados para torturar (submarino) y contiene la sustancia material del mar donde personas fueron asesinadas y desaparecidas en la dictadura chilena. Todo esto va ocurriendo, mientras aparecen versos de un fragmento del poema 48 del libro La ciudad, de Gonzalo Millán.
En el video el tiempo lineal de la acción se encuentra ralentizado e invertido, así como la lógica misma de lo que describe el texto.

​THE WATER OF THE WATERFALLS RISES (2024)

 

​An action of pouring water from the Pacific Ocean in front of the face, directing it toward the mouth. This gesture directly engages with methods used for torture (submarino/waterboarding) and contains the material substance of the sea where people were murdered and disappeared during the Chilean dictatorship. All of this unfolds while verses from a fragment of poem 48 from the book La ciudad, by Gonzalo Millán, appear.

In the video, the linear time of the action is slowed down and reversed, as is the very logic of what the text describes.
