La RAE es una institución que tiene como labor ejercer una imposición normativa y de ordenanza estructural, en relación al entendimiento y aplicación de la lengua española en los territorios hispanohablantes. Se entiende a este organismo como una cárcel del lenguaje, que busca la reglamentación higienizante y conservadora a través de la prohibición y la ordenanza comprensiva en la forma y utilización de las palabras. La pieza también hace una referencia directa a la implantación forzosa de la lengua española en los diversos territorios colonizados.
RAE (TATTOO OF THE ACRONYM OF THE ROYAL SPANISH ACADEMY MADE ON THE TONGUE)
The RAE is an institution whose task is to exercise normative imposition and structural regulation in relation to the understanding and use of the Spanish language in Spanish-speaking territories.
This body is understood as a prison of language, seeking hygienizing and conservative regulation through prohibition and prescriptive ordering in the form and use of words.
The piece also makes a direct reference to the forced imposition of the Spanish language in the various colonized territories.
