NOCHE DE RONDA (2024)​​

Acción de dar vueltas en círculos alrededor de una luz rotativa policial. El gesto propone una inversión de posición y sentido. El desplazamiento del cuerpo va en dirección contraria al movimiento de las luces y a la vez en curso opuesto al reloj. Se plantea como una contrariedad a la vigilancia y a los ejes normativos de control vivencial.

El título de la obra es recogido del nombre de un bolero clásico del repertorio mexicano/latinoamericano. El nombre se resignifica y recontextualiza en relación a las rondas nocturnas de guardia y patrullaje efectuadas por la policía, además de situar la discriminación generalizada hacia el cuerpo migrante.

​An action of walking in circles around a rotating police light. The gesture proposes an inversion of position and meaning. The movement of the body goes in the opposite direction to the motion of the lights and, at the same time, counter to the course of the clock. It is conceived as an act of opposition to surveillance and to the normative axes of experiential control.

The title of the work is taken from the name of a classic bolero from the Mexican/Latin American repertoire. The name is re-signified and recontextualized in relation to the night rounds of guard and patrol carried out by the police, while also situating the generalized discrimination directed at the migrant body.
