Se entiende la monarquía española como germen esencial del proceso colonizador en Latinoamérica y a los actuales Estados de esta región como dominadores de los territorios y perpetuadores de lógicas, configuraciones y estructuras de poder colonial.
En la lista se incluyen también territorios de Latinoamérica que fueron colonizados por Portugal, Francia y Estados Unidos.

The Spanish monarchy is understood as an essential seed of the colonizing process in Latin America, and the current states of this region as dominators of the territories and perpetuators of logics, configurations, and structures of colonial power.
The list also includes Latin American territories that were colonized by Portugal, France, and the United States.
